Dr. Borden Wilson is a native of Minden and a graduate of Glenbrook High School. During his undergraduate education, he majored in biology at the University of Alabama, where he competed on the waterski team. Upon graduation, he was accepted into medical school at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport. Following medical school he completed a residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
With a desire to be near family and friends, Dr. Wilson chose to return to northwest Louisiana to practice pediatrics at WK Preferred Pediatrics. Pediatrics was an obvious choice for him because he has always enjoyed working with children throughout his medical training, with a particular passion for treatment of childhood acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Dr. Wilson believes that the best decisions are made when the physician, parents, and child are on the same page, so he runs his practice as a family-centered medical home. His goal is to help young children grow into healthy, successful young adults.
When not caring for children, Dr. Wilson enjoys waterskiing, traveling and watching football.
